Hey all,

Picked up my new [old] FC today and the wipers are playing up. They work fine on seting I, but nothing happens when on INT or II.

Where should I start?

aye i had the same..  i went for the  bypass method and ditched the switch.. i now have \'I\' or off via a rocker switch on my dash... no INT or II .. i never used int as it was busted and 2 isnt that much faster.

works for me.

Actually with new wiper blades, a wet windscreen, and a dab of grease in the wiper motor bearing / mechanism setting II is quite a bit quicker !

As Mitch says, that wiper fault is a common FC one - but the relays are available from digikey I believe - have a search on here - as one of the lads recently sourced them and posted up on here.

I don\'t really have the time or knowledge to fix the relays. Would swapping in a known-working switch fix it?

If it\'s a used one it probably won\'t work for long. Only options are:
buy a new one not sure how much think mazdatrix sell them for about $300,

get a relay and fix it or get someone else to fix it,

wire up a new wiper switch altogether,

get some "rain x" makes water just bead up and fly off your windscreen, don\'t even need wipers its quality stuff.

Prof

You could always get a spare one to tide you over, and then get someone to repair the other one.  I\'ve fixed 2 of these things now - but it is time consuming.

I think the spare one I have is for a vert - and the switches are different.
