What colour is your engine oil? could be the oil pumped into the engine via the OMP mixed with the raw fuel from the flooding?

enigine oil is black/ normal colour, dunno where it coulda come out from though i\'m still learning rx7... whats the OMP?

The OMP is the Oil Metering Pump - basically the thing that pumps oil from the sump into the engine to keep it lubricated (much like oil sprayers on a piston engine) this is why you should always keep an eye on your oil level and colour as whatever is or isn\'t in the sump is being pumped into the engine!

As the engine has flooded it would have been cranked over a few times, the OMP would be injecting oil.

Also there will be carbon deposits that the raw petrol would also strip away causing a black liquid.

Might be an idea to also check your power steering fluid, see if thats leaking, mine was as it was common to leak from the cooler pipework

What\'s your road made of? Petrol dissolves the tar in asphalt making it sticky as my pockmarked driveway will testify.
