The suspension and chassis set-up on my FD is standard at the moment, and it rolls a fair bit on track although the general handling is ok. I\'d like to upgrade it to reduce roll and give me sharper handling, and I\'m wondering what to do first. As far as I know, the bushes and suspension are in decent condition and the car is predominantly driven on the road with maybe ~5 track days per year.

So, I\'ve got a few options... What should I do first and are any of these "nice to have" but not vital assuming my stock components are in good nick?

- Upgraded dampers
- Fit uprated or new stock bushes
- Fit anti-roll bars (with or without stronger mounting brackets or strengthening bars?)
- Other chassis bracing
- Chassis alignment (will be done after any mods)

I\'m on a modest budget so I can\'t just bite the bullet and get everything done at once (just bought a house and my OH will kill me if I blow a few grand now!).

Thanks,

Chris.

I would say bushes first, then dampers, but chassis strengthening is always a good way to go, just make sure you have decent rubber otherwise you\'ll slide so much more under heavy cornering

Instead of just getting dampers, you might be better off getting coil overs with adjustable ride hight & rebound. You can pick second hand ones up that have done little mileage cheep enough from people braking their cars, and the difference that will make is emence! if your bushes are already good, it\'s pointless changing them for the sake of it! you might aswell throw that £300 at a set of suspention!

Just spotted, there are 2 different sets in the parts for sale section that would do the job nicely ;)
