Hi guys,

Around twice a year I private hire a track for myself and a select group of friends from the Island to attend a day.

Usually we have no issues filling the days as they are always very low numbers and masses of tracktime in an extremely friendly environment.
For what ever reason be it noise issues or just lack of cash after Christmas I am struggling to get up to numbers for this event and could end up paying a large chunk myself.

Anyway this is a Open Pitlane (As open as Goodwood allow) day for a maximum of 25 cars for just £175 all in. Passengers are free as are second drivers.

If I get the 25 cars then I shall also bring along Mike Wilds (Ex F1) who will be available all day to offer instruction.

The day is a 98dB day and Goodwood are hot on noise so do not entertain this if you have a loud car.

Anybody interested drop me a PM

You will not find cheaper than this as I make no money so there is no profit margin.

Cheers :driving

Put me down as a maybe at the mo, as time off work is tricky. Would there be a \'half\' day option ?

Hi Paul,

I could probably arrange a half day for the morning. An afternoon half day is tricky, especially at Goodwood. Having to find marshalls to sound test, do briefings and sighting laps in their lunch break is not easy.

Let me know either way.

Cheers

Hi RX7

Would this be open to anyone? the reason I ask is I\'m a member of the Hampshire Jap Car Club and they do quite a few track days, with this being a local circuit the number could be made up easily if I were able to post the details.

Martylemoo

Please, sell places.

I need to shift 5 places ASAP.

Hi RX7

So far the guys who are interested have cars that will exceed the db reading. Is it the case that there are microphones around the track to record the noise?

Paul-Tll

Goodwood do have mics around the track and are very strict on noise issues, they are often happy though to test one or two extra cars during noise test ing at the start of most track days. I gather the noise registerd is linked straight to the local council building because of complaints, since the track was reinstated.

Hi RX7

I\'m afraid that all the people who normally do track days have cars that exceed the db level unfortunately so does mine. Good luck in filling the other places I will re-arrange my day and take it off so as to come along as a spectator.

Martylemoo

No problem David, the day is now sold out complete with a reserve list ;)

Pistonheads did me proud.

If you can find me (Titanium RX8) then come and say hello and I shall take you out in the RX.
