Foglight on dash not working

Guys,

The foglights themselves are working fine, there is a light on the dashboard that no longer comes on when the foglights are switched on.

Is this likely to be a connection at the back of the dash clocks ?
Can you take the clocks out without dropping the steering wheel/column ?

Any help would be much appreciated as the MOT is due next week.

It might just be the bulb my hand brake bulb went just before my mot you can take the clocks out just enough to reach in and change the bulb. Search on here for dash removal I used it very good write up.
