Just a quick question to see if anyone can tell me if there is any difference in potential power output or flow rate or xxx? between different year of twin turbo?

Ie. Is a stock TT setup from a \'95 FD, better than a stock TT from a \'92 FD?

Thanks

IIRC, the twins were uprated for the \'99-\'01 versions allowing them to produce more boost and pushing power up to 280bhp from 255.

There is definately a difference though.

Basically the turbo pack is the same through out the 10 year production run, apart from the 280hp FD\'s, (from 1999 on) which had a slightly changed design. Please note that FDs with 265hp were still produced after 1999, so they have the original design turbo pack. If you see a pack advertised as "99 spec" you need to be careful that you don\'t buy a std pack (if the buyer was after the updated one).

I recently stumbled across a very good site that you mayfind useful.

http://www.classicmazda.co.uk

Specifcally, there is a download (pdf) that discusses the turbo changes (about p8).

Hope that helps!

You would also need an apexi pfc as the std ecu would not cope
