Urm there are quite a few subtle changes (and some not so subtle) do you want to list them all? Is there something specific?

Not to sound funny but they may both look similar and can swap most parts back and forwards but there is not many parts that are the same when put next to one another. The 02 FD will always be better as its a later MK so its had the benefit of Hindsight as they say.

yes i want to know them all coz i want to get a rx7 next, coz i was planning if i get it for modi i will get the older model but for collection i will be go for the newer model but the newer model is difficult to find and also quiet expensive so, btu first i want to know wt\'s the different between them first thx!

To be honest i dont think you should be worried to much about which model to go for as there are only subtle differences and slightly more power with later models.
What you should be doing is looking at plenty of cars and buy the best one you can afford, whether its a totally standard car that you can modify your own way as you go or one thats had lots of work done to it but is still solid and reliable.

bear in mind that the \'99-02 models are rarer than rocking horse sh!t over here and still go for £15-20k apiece.

IIRC Mazda stopped \'officially\' importing them after \'95. You can only just start importing the \'99 cars this year as they never got a model certificate to allow them to be imported and so had to be ten years old to get round this.

Sorrry, i may have embelished that a bit - but you know what I mean!! They\'re still pricey compared with gen 7/8 cars!

If anyone wants to pay me 20k for my 2001 FD, I would seriously consider it - it\'s already in the UK and everything ! :)

I might just accept 15-20k for mine too at the mo :rollin
Honestly it fine, there\'s no engine troubles at all :p:o
