Can I Re-set My Second-Hand Power FC?

hey guys,
i have bought myself a second hand power fc for my fd on ebay a few months back, i fitted it as soon as i got and had it on the car for five minutes until i was told that it might ruin my car because it was set-up for someone elses car? i was going to get it fitted again when i get a remap but since then my car has been over-heating and i have found (with the help of bob) the thermoswitch to be faulty. i have linked this out now and control the fans directly from a switch in the ashtray. but the car is still over-heating so i would like to fit the power fc to moniter water temps and such like.
so i would like to know if i can re-set the power fc??

You need a commander to reset the PFC or borrow one.

thanks again bob, i think the manuals have been put up as a sticky but i cant find how to re-set them. i do have a commander btw. if you know which section it is on then maybe we could go from there?

On the commander there is an option to re-set to the factory settings.

I you dont have a commander I would have though a specialist would be able to plug one in and do it for you for peanuts....
