can any one help please, i had to put my engine in on my fc t2 and i cant get it to start, i never took the engine out so im not to sure where everything goes, we had a good idea due to the looms sort of falling into place. there\'s three plugs that arent connected though. one is a green plug with 2 terminals in a t shape on the turbo side that just pokes out of the loom to the air flow meter, the other is another green plug which i think has 3 terminals which is located on the coilpack side where the 4 multi coloured plugs are. ( not sure if there the right way round). the last plug is located beside the inlet manifold at the front, it\'s black and round and is only a single terminal. there was a couple of wires that had been broken one is about 3 inche\'s long and yellow with a red tracer i think that comes out of the chunky loom just before it enters to go under the inlet manifold on the coilpack side. the other is on thre water pump side i think and has snaped off the housing itself.  the engine turned over and came close to firing up and now it just turns over. we took the spark plugs out due to it being flooded, cleaned them up and disconnected the fuel pump and turned it over for ten seconds, put the plugs back in and done the same with the pump disconnected. put evrything back to rights and the engine carried on as it was, just wont fire up. please help

many thanks ben

Hello Ben

You say you never took the engine out and assuming this is a completely different engine can you get the old one so you can compare parts from one to the other,

The very early Turbo 11 engines ancillaries are quite a bit different from later ones and if this is the case this will be your problem,

Hope this helps,
All the best Clive

Also get some pics up of the plugs bud so people can actually see the problem. (plus i\'m just nosey and like looking at the shiny engines)
Is there a idle control valve on the T11 engines? I forgot to plug mine in on my FD and i did similar things to what you are describing
:Laugh LOL

the engine hasn\'t been swapped, it had to be removed to retap a hole due to a stud snapping, i made the mistake of getting somebody else to take the engine out and back in coz i was short on time and then he couldn\'t get it back in for 2 weeks so i tackled it myself. i cant get any pictures at the minute due to the car being 10 miles away, just gathering some info before i leave really

iirc the green plugs r test plugs and do not plug in anywhere
