In the process of considering selling the FB for something bigger so I can trailer the FD and have back seats.

Needless to say :

Plus\'s:

13b 6port engine running on LPG only (approx 18mpg)
Uprated Radiator - double capacity of original.
Engine painted and bay vey clean.
WGT stainless exhaust system
Recent 17in Team Dynamics Alloys
Polybushed all round approx 10months ago.
Diff rebuild recently (new bushes)
New rear bushes
Front bushes approx 1yr old.
Very clean underneath, small rust areas, front sills replaced already.
Golden Moonroof (rare version)
DAB radio and good stereo system

Negatives:

The bodywork outside needs some attention, The doors have seen better days at the bottom and there is a few big rust spots that needs cutting out and fixing.
Mileage is 130k !

So the big question is what would it actually be worth looking at good stock ones going for just over a 1k?

Looks good Shaun.  What\'s the performance like on LPG and is the tank size/range similar to petrol?

Performance wise the gas isn\'t as good as petrol. When Pip mapped the gas he saw 125bhp at the flywheel but he did say my throttle selection wasn\'t big enough. I have a larger throttle for it but is was sticky on closing so got shelved. Petrol would possibly be about 160bhp on a off the shelf carb (approx).

Car is very perky for a na and gets rev\'d daily. A highly enjoyable little motor !

Just my personal opinion Shaun, no offence mate, as you know I\'m basically a street use only stock car fan:
£1700 with lower mileage, nearer the £1300 mark with 130K mileage.
The wheels are worth a good bit, the glass roof ditto also the gas conv. must be interesting to someone wanting a daily drive. Stainless exhaust and DAB very good things.
The bodywork needed makes the miles stand out more in the buyers mind.
Have you thought scrappage scheme, because it\'s worth £2000 (well perhaps) if you could afford a suitable deal on one of these big Citroens or something like that - What a drop in the pleasure zone though!
As said - all personal thoughts, chuck it in the bin if you like, \'cos it\'s only to give you my thinking.
For my register please let me know where old faithful ends up won\'t you?

Your more than welcome to think it bud ! Its only a question at the minute.

I\'ve had the car almost 2.5yrs and have driven it for 11k miles a year. I wouldn\'t go for the scrappage scheme purely because I\'d prefer to see it carry on, too nice to scrap.

Plus I\'m thinking about a BMW 5 or 3 series diesel as a daily grind and towing vehicle and my budget wouldn\'t be much more than 3k.

The figure in my head was around £1500 all in but wasn\'t sure if its too low or too high. Car would be worth much more if the bodywork was sorted.

As for the gas the tank is only really holds about 26t total so it gets about 75miles per top up as a daily (110ish on motorway trips). Usually costs about £10 for a top up. There is room in the back to put a larger tank in and I\'m also invetsigating doing it if I keep the car, possibly enough for 60lt capacity. The petrol tank was about 40lt, but its been a long time since it was fitted.

Its just a thought at the minute. May be a while before I do it. Maybe when I cage the FD !

Going to need to shift the car a lot and would need a better daily to tow a trailer.

It\'s all in the air at them minute. I don\'t really want to sell the car but if I ever want to trailer the FD I can\'t own 3 cars !!!

May be 6 months before even considering it again !
