Need some help fittig HKS FCD

But something else is puzzling me! I unhooked the FCD\'s live wire so its not connected to ANYTHING.
 
Went out and was able to boost up to and over 10PSI on my aftermarkert boost gauge! So what the hell is going on! The FCD shouldn\'t work if the live isn\'t hooked up right!? Yet the cars standard Fuel cut dosn\'t seem to kick in!
 
I should add that at no point have i full throtled it, and the rest of the FCD wires are hooked up.
 
So sick of modifying cars! Wish i had just left the damn f%#king thing the way it was!:reallymad:reallymad:reallymad

Depends on what the circuitry is in the FCD - as some of it may still alter the signal to allow higher boost.
