Does anyone know if you need a special tool or how you get the rear lower arms to to fit into the brake/hub assembly it came out with some force but will not go back in no matter what i do. it doesnt help by the fact that the thing is surronded by a rubber boot. its doing my nut in. Appartently the rose joint had excessive play so i am replacing the part. but its not as easy as it looks. to get my replacement bar in at the brake end.

anyone?

Do you mean the CV joint? are you trying to get the DC joint into the hub knuckle?

tinker-27

it has a sliding spacer in the arm so that you can knock it back to give you space to put the new one in and when you tighten it back up it pulls it tight again,

number 6 on this. so your saying this is spring loaded i can push it then it will spring back, ?

the pillow ball still needs to be thinner to fit in anyone? im going to go to my car and try and open it up somehow but it doesnt look like anything moves.

tinker-27

no it does not spring back, it tap it through with a drift only one side moves (the bit you move is steel)

Oh the joys, you just have to make sure it\'s all lined up properly and keep tapping it in gently from below. As long as everythings square it will sit. Good luck there is a knack but it takes a lot perseverence.
