oh i doubt ill even bother about the fitters, as that will get nowhere and i could end up wearing the tyre lol!  but yeah, itll get looked at and see from there. so many \'could have beens\' although it may have been a sign that i should buy the work wheels ive been eyeing up for a while lol!

I\'ve got two F1\'s of a set of four on my garage roof having suffered a similar problem years ago just after they came out. Couldn\'t get them for love or money at one time, the police wanted them on their Volvo\'s apparently and Goodyear couldn\'t supply enough. They look great and handle well enough but expensive lesson to learn

Just a small note to say that once you\'ve got a new tyre on that you really ought to get the geometry checked. I know you said it looked alright by eye but i severely doubt you can put a car like a Rex with its multi-adjustable rear end up a kerb sideways (breaking a wheel) without affecting something. Not just for safety\'s sake: I think you\'ll find it will drive a lot better anyway as they all go a little out of true over time.

I used Wheels-in-Motion, they were excellent. There\'s a recent thread somewhere in the \'wheels, tyres\' thingy\' section.

I would totally agree after seeing the damage to the wheel.
It could have been a far worse outcome though.

yep that will get done when i decide what wheels i want to get.  fancy getting new wheels all round anyway.

new bushings were on the agenda prior to this hiccup anyway so itll be properly looked at and anything that needs replaced will get done.  when i said i looked at it, it was more of a \'make sure nothing is fully mangled lol

worth while getting your geomitry checked..... I had a sliding insident due to a patch of oil which resulted in a bent wheel and the rear end needing in another alignment session :(
