As some of you know i was awaiting delivery of an Initial D twin Arcade Machine this week.. Unfortunately it\'s not my machine, i am only holding it for a friend.. but it should be a good few months before he thinks of moving it!

Well it arrived today.. It\'s been wheeled into the garage but has not yet been turned on.. Needs a right good clean but seems to be in great condition.. My mate is coming over tonight so we can get it setup and have a shot! I\'ll get some more pictures up later tonight of it up and running!

I must admit though, the best thing about it coming this morning was the fact i got to start the RX7 up and take it out the garage for a while to get the machine past.. Don\'t worry i left it running the whole time so the engine was hot for when i turned it off. It makes it so much more special when you rarely get to drive it.. I love my car :)

Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I would reckon he paid about £1800-2000 for it.. These machines have card readers and force feedback which add quite a bit of value to it.. of course you can get the stand up ones for alot cheaper. The cheapest way to play Initial D would be to buy a Sega Naomi Driving Cab.. Crazy Taxi version will do as it has the same shift stick. Although you wont get any feedback or card readers on them. Still alot cheaper and take up alot less space though.. but you would probably still pay about £800-1000 for a decent condition one with full hardware and software.. I am sticking to my candy cabs. :)

If anyone is interested I have the street fighter sub zero module for an arcade machine, if anyone wants it let me know, only want you to cover postage and its yours, wife made me get rid of the actual arcade machine (gutted) so thought id keep the brain part, she also made me give up my real pub pool table.

Think i need to put my foot down now shes started to complain about the rex :) tell you now she goes before the rex :) lol

Thanks guys!

Jimmi - I am part of an arcade forum and there is a lot of trading goes on in it.. There have been a few imports of candy cabs direct from Japan.. but this driver cab is a Uk spec model. Video games are my first passion.. i pretty much eat sleep and breathe Arcade/ Console stuff.. I have a Jap Candy Cab sited in my work.. also got a machine in my bedroom.. i used to have 3 in my room but i cut down a bit.. When i get my own place though i will want a games room with a few candy cabs and probably something like this ID3..

Well, we just spent the last 3 and a half hours playing on the machines.. they are linked so its a lot of fun.. plus the game has some great story/challenge modes.

Here are some pics of my mate playing on the machine tonight.

Enjoy!
