Changing the bushes on a cars suspension is not a highly technical job, just requires a lot of luck or major violence.
I\'ve just purchased the full powerflux set and have proceeded to fit the offside front and rear.  I got all the old bushes out fairly easily ( no luck, just violence ) and cleaned up the suspension.  The issue came with the grease. I\'ve read multiple posts on fitting bushes and what bits to grease.  Some suppliers sites and a few posts say NO NO NO to greasing any "press fit surfaces" whereas others say slap it on regardless.
So I rang Powerflux themselves and was not overly impressed with the response, seemed a little vague ( I think I spoke to the tea lady ) however conclusion was to slap it on all surfaces in contact with metal. That would be the logical guess, but I didn\'t want outer bushings revolving ( due to the grease ) that shouldn\'t revolve. So slap it on regardless is the answer.
Seems these bushings get a mixed review, but some of my pillowballs were shot, so while I,m there doing them I thought I would do the whole job.
Can anyone confirm that the grease included is copper grease ???

I used superpro bushes and the grease was white so not copper, cant say what your ones would be though.

With the Super Pro kits we fit each bush kit/pack comes with its own "Polyurethane" grease. Definatly not Copper grease.

The Superflex ones I have just got come with the polurethane grease (white) in each bag too.

They use different types AFAIK as they are slightly different in design and materials - the powerflex ones i\'ve seen come with copper grease, the super pro ones Lithium Moly.

Thanks for the responses. The reason I asked was some posts have suggested that using the wrong type of lubricant can degrade the bushes over time ??:Nono!
How much time and how much degredation is open to debate, but I thought I would stick to what the manufaturers are using.......oh and I have a big bucket of copper grease already :D

I personally havea problem with using copepr grease, as as far as i\'m aware, it contains small aprticles of copper in suspension that can act as an abrasive. I\'ve always been told, and gone by the pilosophy that copper grease it not for use on moving parts, it\'s to stop static parts seizing.

Speedworks

It\'s SuperPro d*mned :-)

Not Superflex or Powerflux :-D  lol

Just proud to be a seller of SuperPro myself.

For thoise who don\'t know. SuperPro is probably the mother of all upgrade bushings.

The Uk dealer for SuperPro is now the owner of Powerflex. They got into an issue years ago ant the UK dealer founded Powerflex. More oriented on EU car types, where SuperPro chose the US/Asian car brands.

Which is changing by the way as SuperPro is enlarging their range.

Oh and SuperPro can also supply them in black on demand.... just so you\'d know.

They have a good rep also but I think any of the mentioned bushes are good.
