whilst on rolling road the computer showed that my car was underfueling by quite abit, he had a look at the mapping and said that it needed to be remapped and possibly bigger injectors and fuel pump would help,

just wondering where is the best place to get it remapped and what sort of price will i be looking at

thanks Andy:driving

karl_tate

who mapped the car in the first place??

if its under fueling i wouldn\'t WOT or give it beans until sorted.

depends on where you are located and how far you are willing to travel to get the car mapped.

hey thanks for the quick reply, im located in surrey, i was told rotechniks or haywood rotary but i couldnt find a website for them, i dont normally boot it anyway and the lady who i bought it off, her husband is a machenic and set up a map so it would run (bit worrying) but now i know wat needs doing id rather get it sorted asap as the rolling road guy said if i keep driving it itll eventually brake!! so wheres the best place in surrey and would bigger injectors and fuel pump help?

hairyhoover

what ecu has it got apexi power fc?

dj_dee99

Where did you get it rolling roaded?
You\'d only be needing bigger injectors etc if the engine has had a fair few mods, really.

Anyway....... Hayward Rotary:

thanks for the help guys, i got it rolling roaded at surrey rolling road, the guys down there were great and they explained to me exactally how the car was performing and what i needed to do to get it runnung better, yeah its got an apexi power fc ecu, i got in touch with hayward rotary and got a price, well chuffed, bit of a distance to travel but its worth it  though just got to arrange a time then hopefully after its been done get it back on the rollers and see how what it produces this time

dj_dee99

Cool. Carl & co should be able to sort it for you.

Andy, Matt at Austech will do it. I got to call him tomoz anyway. What did you get anyway? Was there any knock?

gandyRX

not sure about austec matey i spoke to them about the rex and some guy said they dont touch other cars as there a tvr specialist, even though they had evos, supras, rsturbos, xr3is, scoobys all being worked on inside, yeah there was some knock the ecu controller said 17, is that good or bad not sure what it should be on the rotary engine but on my scoob i was told it shouldnt be more than 12, what should it be?

Timmy

I forgot to ask him about it but i\'m going in next week. I think like alot of tuners they won\'t just take any rx in just incase it blows.
17 is probably ok but not ideal it\'s when you can here a ping is when you **** a brick.

Depending where you are in Surrey, Super 7 Autos are an RX7 Specialist in Southwater, which is near Horsham (if they are still there?!)

Never used them myself, but if you don\'t want to drive your car too far they may be an option.
