Hi again.
I took my exhaust off as i need to get a sheared thread drilled out. I stumbled accross this which has been welded into my pipe but goes nowhere.

What is it? egt? Its not attached to anything,

More likely was a wideband or narrowband that has become a bung.

I think EGT uses a smaller thread. 1/8in NPT and wide band uses a M18x1.5mm

this is in the centre of the decat pipe, i thought that was too far away for egt.
is a wideband an air fuel ratio guage?

Wideband is the ones that measure the AFR across the whole range from rich to lean.

Narrow band are what most cars come with as standard and only give a true reading for AFR of around 14. These are much cheaper to manufacture and only the areas that a standard ecu will use are accurate.

defo not a egt sensor as they normaly only have a single wire and this has 3.
