I was doing an oil change last night so i\'d be ready for RS5. I dropped the oil changed the filter then thought "****" I\'ve only got some cheep crappy brand oil. I decided to leave the car and buy some better stuff today. The question is what should I go for. I\'ve just been running Halfrauds 10/40 mineral up untill now but figure a 400+ mile trip and running up the strip might not be too good on crappy oil. What do you guys recommend?
Also I was goons chuck some pre mix in for the drive down. What oil is best for this and what quantity?
Cheers.

Sadly not Shaun. I was thought i\'d read somewhere that most people on here use Castrol GTX but couldn\'t find the thread. I\'ll have a look for some in town. Cheers buddy. Are you coming down for RS5 tomoz or sunday?

If you have a Shell garage local, Rotechniks recommended their Helix oil (blue bottle only)...

I ended up getting some Valvoline 10/40 oil. It says Turbo on the front so it must be really fast compared to normal oil!

Asda do Havoline 10/40 full mineral, I\'ve used that before, alternatively get some oil from mazda that they use in RX8s?

GTX at Tesco is £12.99 for 4 litres.
Millers KB 2T is the premix stuff, I add at 80ml to 20 litres of fuel, thats 250:1, running standard OMP on 12A engine.
