hi,  had the door pannels off today to try and find out why my passenger door is not locking.  the drivers door controls the passenger door so i traced the two cables up into the door shell to what i could only feel with my hand to be some kind of mechanism.  this felt very loose and i my opinon broken.   has anyone had the same problem.  can anyone please help.   And to top it off my electric windows are not working(have checked the three fuse boxes and found nothing)  hhhelp  cheers paul

Have you taken the handle off itself? I mean actually unbolted them so that you can see the two rods attached to the handle by way of the plastic bits (technical name ;) )?
If you have not then you need to do this, and hopefully you will see one of the rods is not in place. Its very easy to put back in.
If you have already done this and the rods are both in place then I have no idea! The rod will work the locks regardless of being attached to the handle.

thanks for the reply ,  do you mean the door handle on the outside of the car or the one inside.  i have an alarm fitted and all the motor does is pull or push the lower one of the two cables which i think is the central locking one and thats why my passenger door is not locking.  have been searching the net for pics or manuals with no joy.  cheers paul

I not too sure what you are saying but I have a couple of pictures for you.
The first one is of the 2 rods.
The scond one shows where the rods go, the top rod goes in to the part labeled 1 (white/blue bit) and the bottom rod goes into the bottom part labbeled 1 (yellow bit).
If this how the rods are on both sides of the car and the door is still not working then I have no clue what it could be.
