Rear fog tell tale ???

Hi People ive just found a rather Great guide to convert my rear fog light on my FD3S so that i could take the rather large block off the rear of my car that was there previously!!!
 
only problem being now i have to sort some sort of tell tale light as yes MOT needs one of those too!!
 
i was hoping there would be a light in the dash for the fogs that i could splice into to get to light up .... does anyone know if there is
 
any ideas people ?

Well mine is one of the reverse lights, just got another button next to the front fogs with an LED light above it to show it\'s on Someone else had done the LED bit before I got the car but it uses a proper FD switch so looks as tho it should be there.

i have a FC - but the rear fog is in a reversing light and the switch has NO light on it - so i just wired a red 12v led into the dash

dead easy - prob a 10 min job

just checking the wiring at the back of the switch and look for the side that gets 12v when its on - and wire the + side of the LED to that and the - side to anything metal

I used the same type of Mazda switch as the front fog lamps and wired in the illuminated symbol on the switch as the tell tale, i.e. so it only comes on when the switch is on rather than when the rest of the lights are on.

Ahhh see thats what i was wondering about doing spartacus, i have actually got the rear fog light linked to the front fogs switch already (wire splices into the yellow one) and when i switch it on it comes on but i dont seem to get any tell tale ?? is this because i dont actually have any front fog lights or did you have to do a bit of jiggery pokery and wire some others about ??

Basically you have 2 circuits, one that lights the tell tale when the side lights/headlamps are on and one that puts on the fog lamps when you flick the switch. All you need to do is move the tell tale wiring over to the switch so it becomes live when you flick the switch rather than put on the side lights/headlamps. Trust me it\'s easier to do than explain.
