hi, i have done a search but got a bit confused by all the possibilites lol, basically i had boost working 100% yeasterday and now today i have no boost at all - boost guage will only reach 0 pressure but shows good vacuum on tickover etc. it doesnt pop and bang or anything just has no boost i have checked the main intercooler pipes and no splits, i can hear the turbo trying to spin up a little but no power or boost any ideas? also it sounds a bit tinny in the exhaust which it never used to until today - presuming this must be related?

Brett

I would think the arm that operates the waste gate has come off - I can\'t remember if you can access this without removing the heat shields, but it sounds the most likely culprit. :wave

that could make sense as i had the exhaust off the turbo a couple of weeks ago for a clutch change, i\'ll check this tonight. cheers

grinder

i think you can get to it with the heat shield in place as its at the bottom

spot on brett! thats exactly what happened the actuaor bar had fallen off the wastegate arm - problem now sorted but had to take heat shield off as didnt quite have enough room to put it ack on. and as an added bonus it just flew through the mot yesterday without even getting an advisory! another TII on the road for another year lol

Brett
