mmmmm it feels differnet here more people:2Confused

im changing the oil next week and have just converted my beehive oil cooler to a 2 gen one, got some nice ss lines made up too but since fitting it (its not hooked up yet!) it has dropped more and more oil nasty black stuff too, so when you guys do a oil change how do you remove it completely? i was going to undo the large bolt on the bottom (persume this holds the thermostat?)
also when you fill up do you top up to normal levels allow the oil warm up (when does the stat open?) then refill to normal level

just one more, i am fitting a oil temp sensor but im not really sure what temps i should be seeing (70 - 80?)

thanks to the gen 2 crew (my car is heading that way with coils and coolers so im nearly afliated!)

If I\'m honest - I\'ve never considered it...
I\'ve always just undone the drain plug and let it run out.

same as brett to be honest

1 - undo bolt
2 - drain
3 - fill

If you\'ve fitted the oil cooler and it hasn\'t got oil in it, then I\'d fill the engine to the top dip stick mark, run it for a few minutes then recheck it - I think the oil cooler stat opens around 70-80C so that should take the oil round and lower the oil on the dip stick - top it up and do the same again - I normally always check the oil level a day or two after a fill anyways.
