Hi,

Well nice and early this morning i thought it has to be time to do some more on the car. My plan of attack was!!!

1. Fit aero catches to the bonnet
2. Fit new bucket seats
3. Fit rear diffuser & Carbon canards
4. Spring clean inside & Outs side

Started off trying to align the bonnet. The holes in the hinges need to be enlarged by about 7mm. Took best part of an hour drilling fitting aligning. Eventually got near as humanly possible then had to adjust the lights to match the bonnet. The the scarey bit taking a Jigsaw to the Scoot to cut out for the catches. Took my time and they fitted a treat.

Next the seat quite straight forward really 10 bolts 2 plugs and they where out. Took the opertunity while the seats where out to give her a good clean out (Full of dust from the spray shop). Then fitted the buckets quite tight the passenger one hits on the door card, drivers one is about 10mm off the card.

The hardest part of the day was fitting the rear diffuser. Trying to align the Carbon candards & diffuser S pieces to the body work then drill through for rivets. At one stage there was 3 of us holding various bits. But got there in the end and I am very happy with the fit.

Then came the good bit washing the outside cost me a fiver, Had to bribe my nipper to help. Out came the bucket with hot soapy water and the hose pipe and she came up sparkling. Have not waxed her yet but she is gleaming.

Also when i had her resprayed i De badged her so got some Gold decal replacements and stuck them on aswell.

So all in all i had a good day sunny all day and nice & warm. Now i am waiting on the V-Mount, Plumb it in and after 18 months of waiting she will be ready for her first road trip to Re Worx for a compression test & if that is ok for a mapping session. I CANT WAIT!!!!

Here are a few pics of the days work and a video of how the paint work looks with a good clean and some sunshine.

Are the aerocatches hard to fit ?? Do you drill from underneath or from the bonnet ?

Thanks Fellas,

Aerocatches we quite easy to fit just scarey cutting the bonnet. I put the catches in positon then drill down through the holes. Hardest bit was trying to put the tiny washers & nuts on.

Gandy I am hoping to get some sleek lights at some stage its just these where on the car when i brought it. saying that i dont mind them.

Cheers Garith.

P.s. Uploading video to you tube dont seem to be doing anything and uploading to photobucket is taking ages. Any ideas?
