Shaun - dont worry dude :)

Mitch - cool shaft, but its totally not right. The correct 26b shaft lobes 2 and 3 should be 180 degress opposed, lobes 1 and 4 should be 180 opposed  but a further 90 degrees around the shaft.

Isn\'t the Ghetto build on rx7club have all the timings in it somewhere ?

Yeah but its got a join the middle, so as long as the number of splines is divisible by 4 you should be able to clock it 90deg to get the right firing order.

Nope - the middle two rotors lobes in the 26b above are 180 degrees opposed with the other lobes at right angles to that.

You couldnt join two 13b shafts to make that shape.

correct me if I\'m wrong but you\'re contradicting yourself

in one post you\'re saying L3 90°  L2 180°
and then in another you are saying Lobe 2 and 3 are 180 degrees opposed
if L2 IS at 180 then L3 would be at 0, so either the specs you\'ve written out are incorrect or that 2 and 3 are at 180 from each other is wrong

the firing order 1-3-2-4 makes the most sense from a balance perspective so the ghetto shaft bit one of them rotated 90 would give you that

Bugger - I wasnt reading what I was typing at all :( Im at work now until the morning, Doubt ill have a chance to type out a detailed correction of my idiocy.

Ill write one in t\'mornin

So the firing order is 1-2-4-3

1 0
2 90deg
3 270deg
4 180
