Impressive work with the carbon fabric, what polish do you use?

say if you got a hole in a panel (that you need) that your covering with carbon how would you go about that?

fiber glass the back of it, then a thin layer of filler and sand smooth :) job done :)
im looking at a few overlays soon so i`ll pop a post up.
A handy trick is to apply a thin layer of resin and wait for it to go tacky, then the cloth will stick to the correct shape and not move around

no no i mean if there is a hole there that you need to keep? i.e. for a switch or your dials? would you just cover it all then cut the hole away!

use a dremmel to cut out the hole afterwards

would you do that after the 5-6 layers of resin or before you put them on? may be asking alot of questions but i have never used carbon before!

markj113

do it after the resin.
