Hi peeps,

I have a set of stock late spec 16s i use as track wheels but the tyres are now positively bald :yes :Laugh

they all have 225/50/R16s on them

I have 2 x 215/55/16
and also 205/55/16 tyres

now would these fit on the rims and which way round would you fit them to the car? 205s on front and 215s on rear? They are meant to be more for arse end action than anything and will not be used on the road so what would your advice be?

THANK YOU!!
:cheers

Yup, they\'ll fit fine :) Can\'t remember what the stock widths for late specs are though - are they 7\'s or 8\'s?
stick the widers on the rear :)

205 on a 8 is a tiny stretch, i ran it for years with no probs :) It\'s nothing too extreme either :)

I knew i should\'ve asked you mate. your on DW also arent ya! :rollin

so 205\'s on rears which are 8j
and 215\'s on fronts which are 7j

THANK YOU! :D

yeah they fit absilutely fine. in reality its 1cm difference which is nothing. personally i would put the wider ones on the back for more traction

thanks for the info mate.

I know the drift look is to strech the rubber, i have them streched on my 18s on the car but i have a drift car now for that stuff so this will be for the occasional airfield day so i kind of knew they would be fine, just like to check when im not sure :)

thanks again, shall get them fitted on the weekend.

Lol :D SXOC is where i cut my teeth, now i\'ve moved on from my 14a ;) :D

Most of my posts on there are in my local section, or repeatedly posting about boost leaks, tyre/wheel sizing, or brake rebuilding :Thumbsup!

Let\'s just say my job isn\'t the most interesting thing in the world, and the internet is a welcome diversion :Typing

MadRX - fwiw, i\'d run the wider ones on the back, but tbh it probably won\'t make much difference :)
