boot struts

ever since i got my fd the bootlid has been coming down spontaneously on my head if i lean into the boot! anyway, i bought some second hand struts off crescent for a fiver and stuck them in today - really easy job, had to take the rear side plastic trim off to get to the bolts. Obviously, do it with the boot propped open as wide as possible!! only minor complication was dropping one of the bolts and it fell down the back of the storage bins, so i had to undo those too and lift them to get my hand under and rescue it! Found a few jap coins too. All in, about 30mins to do and now it is super strong!!
