hi all
checked my oil the other week and noticed a grey sludge at the top off the dip stick, took oil filler cap off and no sludge there but some water sitting in the top off the cap wiped all clean checked today and it was the same.
could it be just condensation or could it be water seals on there way out, but i dont seem to be loosing any water and cars running ok
any ideas :2Rolleyes

normal, due to the oil system being sealed - no vent to the atmosphere.

Plus weather doesnt help. We have got this on the 8 and Mazda said its normal

Agree with martin as has been on all the rotaries i have touched.  worried me at first but then had it on a freshly rebuilt engine so put it down to the type of oil system used.  As a matter of interest would an oil catch can stop this, I too dont like the idea of any water droplets getting in the oil in any way.
