Hi,

I have been looking at purchasing a couple of air filters for my Fd, i have looked at the Blitz ones, Apexi, HKS mushroom, ARC Air box etc.. All seem to be very expensive £230+.

Having done a bit of research, i would like to go Stainless steel, i did a search on ebay and found some cheap 3" Stainless steel universal filters that are a \'no name brand\'.

Can anyone tell me if they have experience of these and what the differnce is between these cheap ones (£10) and the Blitz style to justify over £200!

I believe they use the same grade steel, same mesh etc.. So i cant see why Blitz charge so much, is it just a name thing?

Thanks

Ash, its all well and good looking good, but they have to be able to filter the crap out of the air.

Get yourself some K&N\'s.

I understand they need to filter, and i understand that for instance HKS mushroom dont filter as well as the K&N\'s or Apexi\'s,.

So these \'cheaper\' ones on ebay, are they not made from the same stainless steel as say the blitz sus type?
