Dead short?

I cant believe one wire can cause me so much grief. My problem is in the 12 pin connector right next to the diagnosis box. There are two wires (black with a light green trace) that seem to want to smoke as soon as the ignition is turned on. I have looked at diagrams on rotary art website, but just wondered if anybody knows where they run to and from. This would make finding a suspected dead short so much easier and has anyone else had this time consuming problem? :2Confused
