turbo simplification?

am planning on replacing the hoses in the rats nest over xmas (i know, i need a life!) and was contemplating taking out all the emissions stuff as per here

has anyone done this, can i get away with it r.e. MOT emissions? car is currently street ported with after market exhaust intake etc etc and want to stay sequential. anyone got any opinions?

There is a good thred in the Technical Stickies section. If you take the emissions out then it may be worth finding a helpful MOT station. It is extremely hard to pass without the emissions stuff installed otherwise.
