Hi all

I have just come to fit my second hand re amamiya uprated leads which I bought from a non member of the group a while ago and I wanted to check/ ask a cople of question first before fitting them, hopefully someone else has fitted them and knows the answers, they look in relative good condition from the out side

1) they seem to be twice as long as the OEM leads, should I just route them differently.
2) also one of the metal ends on the oposite end to the spark plug seems very burnt, any idea\'s what may cause this.

3) Should I just go and buy a new set of magnacore to be safe?

Hopefully I have not wasted my 30 quid:( it doesn\'t always pay to save a few quid)

Thanks for any help

asp

fitting 2nd hand parts that dont cost much 2 buy new is a NO NO,is not worth the hastle.imho i wouldnt of bought them,

Would be worth checking the resistance of the leads before fitting.

Thakns Fish I will do that any idea what the resistance shoud be?

and I agree asp it was not worth saving the 10 quid.
10 quid is not a lot to pay for piece of mind.

But it has allowed me to get my hands dirty and I now know how to change them. what a job, three are relitivly easy and the forth  what a job that one was to get off.

Thanks for your input guys.

Hi,

just for the info, I have a set of the RE Amemiya leads on my car. They are exactly the same length as the stock ones were.

Eddie

thanks for that mate, that is interesting, as mine were about twice as long as the originals.

I have put them on and they seem to work fine, the car runs better than ever but I have done so much to it recently it could be a number of things.

New plugs, wires, fmic, oil chnage, filter.

I will be keeping an eye on it and I am going to take it into wgt shortly, I will keep the original plugs in the car incase I do have any problems.

Thanks
