decat pipe / breather pipe

For infomation:

My car is due an MOT and the secondary pipe is full of holes
it is the breather pipe - refered to by Mazda as the Air Pipe and by some other people including myself in error as the DECAT pipe.

Anyway - just to let you guys know that the best way of dealing with this little problem is to replace the two sections of (about 1.5 inch pipe) is by getting the bits from mazda themselves as I was quouted £90 by a pipe bending specialist exhaust centre but the pipes from mazda can be bought for £58 inc the vat (with 10% trade off - for being a cheeky git)

I have been quoted about £15 to fit em from a freindly local exhause centre (one thinks this is to be sky rocket money)   anyway the bottom line is not to assume that getting the proper part will be silly money - as under £75 fitted with the right parts has to be the best way forward, right?

Is that the small metal pipe that takes air to the cats from the Air Control Valve assembly on the side of the engine ?
 
If it is, my manual calls it a split air pipe - but it might be worth asking some of the vendors/workshops if they have any knocking about in their shops, as most people who decat will have taken them off and they are probably only worth scrap value then, so you might be able to rescue one off a knackered exhaust ?

Prof, think he is on about the split air pipe, quite rare to find them full of holes as i think they are stainless, personally i have never seen any to degrade that far.  I do see a few with rubber hoses that will get it through the MOT, just depends on how far his tube is rotten.  Unfortunately I think i just binned mine.

Right I have had a look and found the one half,ie from the ACV to where it meets the NRV thingy. They are stainless so very surprised its rotten.  Anyway if you want this bit then just paypal me £5 and its yours.
