advice needed please guys

hi guys need your advice, my fd recently flooded, i sorted it and took it for a drive today but found i was loosing boost as i were going into 2nd, so i started driving back to my home keeping out of the boost as i didnt want to cause any damage but the car then cut out. It started on the next turn and i drove it straight home i was worrieing about turbos but there is no smoke or any other obvious fings pointing to them. I was finkin maybe sum sort of fuel problem?? i recieved my comando today and had that plugged in but did not change any of the settings, just monitoring but i was finkin maybe theres some sort of fuel cut on boost? am reali not sure guys as this is my first rotar and any information you can share would be great.

Hi Ash,

If the car is now starting instantly and running smoothly and not sounding like a tractor all rough and horrible, chances are the engines fine.

Really need some more info from you if we can to try and help further,

If your worried about settings with the apexi and you have the stock ECU, if the car is near standard then put your original ECU back on the car and try it.

Also these cars need to boost well to get them to change over to the 2nd turbo so if the car is running fine and you have a boost gauge, what are the readings?

Do you have a boost gauge

How did the car flood ? was it cold and it was turned off ?

If you are really worried test the compression and this here link will help establish the health of your engine, failing that Mazda will not charge much for a full compression check

hi,
the car flooded from short drive from pulling out of ther drive for so my brother could get his car out, well i fink that is why. i do have a boost gauge and tht and my commando is reading +80 at about 4k tonight i ahve driven the car and it as run sweat it didnt miss a beat and was boosting fine :S i am going to give the car a full service tomorrow.
The car hasnt had to many mods it has a apexi ecu, hks exhaust and downpipe, and that is about it to the engine. My other concern is that it needs mapping to english fuel hence the reason why i havnt been driving it much and taking it to high revs could you recomend a firm? and roughly how much would you say?
