went santa pod today :burnout posted a reasonable-ish time (late start and bit of clutch slipping) 13.2992 which i thought was ok for second ever go but after having been down the strip a couple of times when the car now idles at low revs there is a slight knocking noise-but only when at 700 rpm :Grrrany ideas what this could be??
im hoping its just something as minor as exhaust rattle
any help would be appreciated
also any ideas on what clutch to go for what is a reasonable setup??

unless running silly power a standard clutch is fine or for near stock pedal feel get a center force dual friction

I would consider upgrading the clutch when you start going over 300whp (the stock clutch was designed for a range near the stock torque of 217ft-lb). Your standard Street & Strip clutch (ACT makes a good one), matched with the stock Flywheel, should be plenty to hold additional, moderate, power without going too far towards losing that "stock" feeling.

In all honesty I noticed a slight knocking noise from my gearbox after I went to Santa Pod for the first time. Mine could very well be different from yours though, it\'s noticeable at low rpms and fluctuates with rpms and whether or not I have the clutch in. Chris at RE:worx told me that it\'s a fairly common problem/noise, not good, but not life threatening either. I\'m just going to ignore mine until I can get a full rebuild on the gearbox (or just buy a new gearbox). I\'ve got a transmission (gear box) brace on now, so the sound is much more pronounced inside the cabin, but hey.. the tranny is supported better so...

its a weird noise it just sounds like a rattle cant notice it in the car but can hear it from underneath the car yet if you pop the bonnet all you can hear is the belts turning im just hoping its not rotor related but it still starts and drives fine

Have you gotten under the car to check and make sure everything is secure? From above the car try to see if the intake pipe to the secondary turbo is loose. I\'ve had instances in the past where the bolt holding it to the turbo housing will spin itself loose (or out completely!)
