Hi everyone
This is my first post so forgive me if anything is wrong. Can anyone help me by telling me the easiest way to remove my engine and gearbox, preferably a step by step guide as i havn\'t done one before. A website address will be much appreciated if this is easier to explain. Also is there a significant increase in performance by having the engine street ported if you have a single turbo conversion.
Kind regards
Mark.

this site provides a step by step video..

its pretty straight forward..
you can leave the downpipe and tranny and most of the accessories upon removal...
youll just need to clear all lines.. piping connected...
and obstructions such as rad.. ic.. airbox.. battery.. ppf.. maincat..

Thanks for the help matei\'ll have a look at the site.

How have you done?

I got some advice if you look at my thread "help removing my 13B". I would put a link here for you, but I don\'t know how!

After struggling with mine I found (//www.1300cc.com). On here they have got there hands on a Mazda engineers manual for the RX-7, they then scanned it and put it on their web site to download for free!!!! All you need to do is click on the link and it\'ll print it all out. Be warned though............ you need a shed load of paper!

Good luck! I\'ll be putting mine back in soon!

Your lucky to have a ramp at work to do it on! I had to put up with the rain in the middle of a car park!!!!!!

I assume you have an FD, mine is a Turbo II so there will be quite a few differences. However, I do wish that I hadn\'t removed quite so much before the actuall removal. As most of it could have stayed put (now my living room is full of turbos and manifolds of all discriptions!).

Despite all of the hoses and wires and other plumbing, it\'s actually quite straight forward. It all comes out as one package (so don\'t be put off). once all the oil and water hoses are off, it\'s just throttle cables and ECU loom (the loom is all in one bundle leading in to the passenger side footwell). The loom is hard to spot inside the engine bay, so start off by pulling back the carpet on the floor l/h/s and it simply unclips, then just feed it right the way through the engine bay.

If you have any probs just ask, everyone on here seems willing to help. (thanks guys :wave ).
