after looking all over my exhaust i cant find the cat , and i know i dont need one as its a 92 reg , but i still have the air pump on , is it a simple job to take it off , and where do i get a shorter belt ? also when i am stood looking at the car with it running if the car is reved the triangle thing seems to come out slightly and the pump stays still ?? is this right or do i have a problem ?
also how difficult is it to take the rad out ?

1. if your car is decatted, then you dont need the iarpump. hwoever, you need to get a set of underdrive pulleys of you remove it. If you try running a shorter belt with the same pulleys, then youll find that theres not enough belt contact on the water pump pulley and it could "slip" on the pulley hence not driving the water pump properly giving you major cooling issues!! The pulleys are usually about 40 quid and a tenner for the belt.

Radiators easy enough to remove. Take off your filters and intercooler and pipes. Then knock off the two hoses and undo 2 10mm bolts which hold it on.
