How do you go about checking them & how do you tell if it has gone??? I know the left hand one is the one to pay particular attention to.........

get under the car and look either side of the bell housing toward the engine they are located in between the enigne and subframe below the engine.

standard mounts are ruber with oil inside if they are cracking or split then contact me as you need new ones. :rollin

i had one dead oil everywhere and my engine had....welll a lean. This caused the handing to be soooo twitchy when changing direction it scared a few of our experienced members!

good idea to keep an eye on em but once they are good uns you will know when they have gone plus they dont go often so not much of a worry.

check diff mounts, PPF and other bushings etc when down there too if you can.
