Rear Subframe on 89 Turbo II

Hi All
 
Is it poss. to remove the rear subframe on an FC without taking out the diff. & drive shafts. It looks as through you can do it, but does anyone know better??.
 
Just want to clean it up, paint and seal it and fit new bushes and centre mount.
