smelling petrol

i have been smelling petrol in car havent been able to check under the hood yet but only just picked it up yesterday the other one needed rebuild so garage swapped it , could it just be running rich or is there anything i should look for ? tnx

depends where the smell is coming from. if its the back then it is running rich if its the engine then you should try to find where its leaking. aparently the pulsation dampers on the fuel rail can leak.

Check the Lower manifold gasket...my mate has the same problem........turbos out job though i\'m afraid........but get all other possibilites checked fist.....as from what ive been told this job could take about 10 hours!!

check your injectors seating..
could also be due to whats already been mentioned... lim and pd
