I\'m still waiting on silicone hose, but can I put the engine back in, then put the rats nest in afterwards? Or will it be quite tricky?

thanks in advance.

Its a bit tricky, I removed the rats nest with the engine in place and IIRC there are some hard parts to get to.

Personally for the sake of a day or two, I\'d wait for the hose.

Make sure you get the vacuum lines into the block as well before the nest goes back, they are near on impossible (although do-able) once its in place.

Jim, keep it out of the car untill you get the hoses on! you\'ll realy appreciate it, some were a real bugger to get to, (few pipes that go to the block and down to the turbo\'s) i did manage to get them done after droping bolts and a lot of swearing/curseing

Also a lil tip, looking from the front of the engine the pipes on the left hand side near where the alternator goes might get knicked when you try refit the alternator.

just take your time and be methodical one at a time, and if in doubt coloured pens are a saver
I woof in your general direction.

If I get stuck, I\'m just gonna use that mad diagram!.. lol

Heheh yeah, that diagram does start makeing sense after stareing at it for so long, *twitch* i close my eyes and all i see are pipes! but if you can hold off do it outside of the car you will save a lot of sweat and ache,  but it is totaly possible to do it in the car :Thumbs-up

:)

You should be using that really anyway, it helps no end.  But then I did have 90% of the hoses off the car at the time ;)

Jim_rx7

yeah.. got about 6 or so hoses floating about. The diagram defo helps!
