Hi all. I currently have an ARC super induction box and new filters installed on my FD. Which gives me the grunt I want as well as keeps the intake temperatures down. Circa 20 - 40 degrees under different conditions.

The only problem with this is that it takes up quite alot of room in the engine bay still.

I have recently purchased a used RE ANEMIYA induction filter for the car. It is the twin turbo version and is the larger single cone type. I am just after people\'s experiences with and views towards this particular filter in terms of power gains, intake temps, performance, etc.

Also... does this filter as standard mount quite far back in the bay towards the firewall? If so... did you guys have to use air ducting to get the best from it? I may end up having some metal extension tubes made up so that I can mount it further forward towards the front bumper and around the wheel arch.

Anyone know the diameter of metal tubing which I would need to use including the shape and dimensions for them?

Another thing I would like to know is what is the most ideal air intake temperature on the RX7 FD? I know the saying is the lower the better... but what shouldn\'t it go above and ideally what should it stick around?

Finally... do you think I should stick to the ARC induction box or swap to the Anemiya filter? Which do you think I would have most gains from? If I stick to the ARC I will just sell the Anemiya filter on, saving me the hassle. Heard that they are really rare though???

Thanks all. :Thumbs-up

The only advice that I can give mate is that all induction kits should be well ducted, especially in the hot hot heat of the FD engine bay.

Im suprissed to hear you really like the ARC box.  I have no personnal experience of them, however I was always told that they really soaked in the heat.

Personally im a big Amemiya fan and under the impression that whatever they produce is expensive but good quality.

Hopefully youll get some proper reviews tho:)

induction kits wont have an affect on intake temp.  its the turbo that makes it hot.

but the re-amemiya kit is good for flow.

as with most RE-A stuff.

And the Intercooler that cools it back down. I have long believed that - it\'s relatively immaterial what temperature the air is that gets sucked into the turbo, as it compress, and therefore heats up the air anyway. If the air is hotter when it gets brought in, then it is less dense, and more will be compressed more quickly, so it evens out.

I\'ve got a Greddy stock mount performance intercooler also. Think this must help with my intake temps.
