New wheels, offset and tyre size??

Hi, I`m thinking of new wheels, fancy something 18" what size of tyres should I be using? Thinking of 8 or 8.5 inch rims, also what is the recommended offset for the wheels? Thanks for any help.

35 0r 40 offset is good but you can get away with 32 at a push

dont go any smaller than 8.5"
Ideally 8.5 front 9.5 rear
