sounds like it\'s flooded.

There are several threads here about how to un-flood a rotary, but in essence, you need to remove the EFI fuse (to stop the fuel being pumped in), take out the spark plugs, turn the key and thet the engine turn over with no fuel being pumped or plugs in - this clears the fule out of the housings - clean up and dry the plugs (best to heat them up a bit with a burner or gas stove) - put everything back together and reconnect the EFI fuse.

You can always try the above without removing the plugs, if it isnt too badly flooded.  The twice i have flooded mine just turning it over without the EGI fuse (short busts of 5 seconds then resting for a few and repeating) cleared the fuel after some time.  Did this for about 5 times then popped the fuse back in.

The last time it almost fired, white smoke, but no start.  Flattened battery so it took two days, but got there after the second day!

Keep a well charged battery!

Best way to check its deffo flooded is to pull the plugs and see if they are wet ??? if so you know the rest as described by the above replies :Thumbs-up
