I am about to fit my new engine but need some help with the timing as its a Turbo II engine so not as straight forward as an FD

I dont have the original front pulley so i need to mark up my old one with new correct marks. Does anyone know how to do this.

I assume by adjusting the Crank Angle Sensor it fine tunes the timing.  I run an Apexi so does this still control the timing?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

i believe if the pulley is from the same series motor, it doesnt matter...the marks will still be the same...and main pulley bolt holes will only line up one way

Hi Monte,
Thats the problem, my current block is a series 4 block so i dont think the marks will be the same and i read on RX7 club that timing marks can vary from 1 engine to another even in the same series.

I think there are tickets available to the track day tomorrow at north weald, do you fancy it.

don\'t know about the apexi but on other ECU\'s you use the CAS adjustment to zero the timing by fixing the timing via the ECU and then adjusting to fine tune it (so I understand from reading about initial setup)

cheers Mike, that was what i thought, i suppose the apexi can change it but it needs to know its changing it from the right place to start with.

So how do i fix it? that is the question  :)

dunno on the haltech and others there is an option to fix the timing at a  set value to aid diagnostics and setup. Does the Apexi have the same function?

Could fill the timing table out with all the same values in the no load ranges so you know that it will be set at that value.
