i have brought a new exhaust and apexi induction kit do i need the apexi ecu or will i still be okay ?
exhaust is mid pipe and back box no cat in mid box
also if i do need ecu and commander is it easy to fit for a car simpleton , i am an engineer but know nothing on cars . any help ? cheers

only going on what i\'ve been told and not experience, but i\'ve been told that upgrades such as induction kits and de-cat exhausts are not advised without an ecu upgrade and a good set-up.supposidly it could lead to boost spikes, rich/lean mixtures and feul cut if done without the ecu! i\'m open to corrections if i\'m wrong( probably am)!
apexi ecu is definatly next on my shopping list!
all the best!

and yes it is easy to install, but the difficult bit is mapping it for your mods.

Yes, you need an ECU, as Kevin says it is a doddle to fit, but you need someone to map it for you.  Whether you need a commander or not is up to you, if you want to keep an eye on things / fiddle with values then yes, but IMHO if you get an ECU and get it mapped properly then you don\'t need one.

The commander is also a cheap multi-purpose gauge if you don\'t have gauges already.  Temps, Boost etc.
