Clutch Master Cylinder

Am looking to change mine either tonight or tomorrow night and was wondering was there anything i have to do while changing or before or after changing etc.. Have never done one before..

Also where is it located on the car? Please dont tell me it on top of the gear box and if so do i have to drop the gear box?
