Alright guys this might sound a bit wierd but I sometimes see jap cars with a super shiny mirror shine fat exhaust.

Mine must \'ve looked like that once being a blitz nurpec, but now it looks nearly as bad as a corroded thames water pipe. Is there any way to clean it up back to its original shine? Its meant to be stainless afterall!

Its the only part of the car which doesnt shine :(

i got the same problem, can never be arsed to clean it.

autosol is supposed to be good for this kind of thing then give it some basterd with the elbow grease hey presto shiney exhaust!!

If the exhaust is really bad get some wet and dry in a fine grade say 1200 and give it a good sand with some water aswell. Then get the autosol out and get buffing it\'s not hard to get it back to a nice shine.

Mequires do a metal polish for about £6 use that and a bit of elbow grease.
Will come up a treat

D1 WTF

i spend nearly 2 hours doing mine with auto solve, even gently used a scourer.

it was the tip that is/was the worst as, as soon as it rains it goes to a tarnished goldy colour.  once done once properly then it is so easy to then keep it good.  everytime you wash the car just spend five mins with some auto solve and it comes back up a treat.

i wish i had done some before and after pics when i initially did mine as it now looks brandnew.  (the funny thing is the cat back is fduked as it is opening up along the seem, ow well it looks good even if it aint any good)
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

Thanks guys

Will be buffing mine up this weekend methinks. I personally think it DOES make a big difference when its shiny and when its not.

Its like the difference between a car with clean alloys and dirty/brown tyres against a car with clean alloys and cleaned black tyres.

BIG difference :)

yeah wet n dry, i used 2000 grit in the past, less buffing required afterwards lol, saying that still got mine to do lol..
