What tyre type and sizes did the rx7 gen 3 come with from new from factory?

The type of tyre that Mazda recommended was round, black (optional white wall) with tread. The tread helps when the surface is wet.

Tyre sizes depends on the size of the rims. Stock 16\'s were 225/50R16 on 8JJ wide, later 17\'s came with 235/45R17 front and 255/40R17 rear. I think the 17\'s fronts were 8JJ and the rears was 8.5JJ wide.

No idea on original, but most tyre companies now make them in this size.

Ive got a feeling that the original tyres were dunlop, but dont quote me on that;)
