I have a 1995 Type RZ. I am looking into buying a PFC, how do I know if my ecu is 8 or 16 bit?

Someone out there must have a 95 car with a pfc!!:yes  How did you know which model to go for? I understand the change to 16 bit was made in November 1995, do I take the chance and go for the earlier model?
